The Stewart River, located just north of Two Harbors, can be a good river to fish when the lower rivers get crowded. The fish mile and a half below tends to hold the most fish. The peak run on the Stewart is usually mid-April and the river can produce fish up to 30 inches. It's upper reaches hold healthy populations of wild steelhead.
