Spearfish Creek, running through Spearfish Canyon, offers an angler solitude and a lot of eager trout. They aren't huge, but the browns, rainbows and brookies in the canyon are opportunitistic feeders. An ocassional larger fish can be caught, we even spotted one in the 20 inch range. The larger fish are weary and incredibly tough to catch. Water conditions have been poor in recent years, so check out the current water situation before heading out to the creek.
