We weren't sure what to expect when we got into the canyon. The creek looked low, but the further downstream we drove, the more water it picked up. We came to a promising section and pulled over the truck to take a look. We were on a ledge around 30 feet above the water. At first glance we didn't see anything, but suddenly we started spotting a couple of fish in each pool. I even spotted one monster in the 18 inch range. We grabbed our rods and headed down to the creek. We worked our way upstream, catching browns in almost every pool. We finally came to a deeper pool that was packed full of fish. In my first three casts I landed three brightly colored brookies. This small creek was awesome and a great place to get away from other fishermen. The trout were eager and would take just about anything thrown at them.
