Runoff was ending on the river and the fish were eager to take anything drifted their way. We fished a stretch below Aspen for a couple of hours and caught fish on wooly buggers and San Juan worms. All the fish were browns in the 10-14 inch range, but we did catch one nice 16-inch bow. The fish were in the pocket water and along the edges, hitting the flies aggressively.
