We got a hot tip on a section of water below Carbondale and it paid off with some nice rainbows. We were into fish right away, mostly rainbows with a couple of browns mixed in. The entire stretch of water held fish and we were hooking up every couple of minutes. The rainbows were chunky, with most fish in the 14-16 inch range. We fished the "spaghetti and meatball" combo, with the rainbows prefering the San Juan Worms and the browns preferring the eggs. We also hit up a section of river above Glendale Springs and caught a couple of nice rainbows near a tributary stream.
