We decided to try the stretch of river located below one of the bridges in Carbondale. The river was slightly off colored from the mudslide on the Pan upriver. My second drift near a boulder produced a nice rainbow on an egg. We continued to fish downstream thinking that the fishing would be hot, but didn't hook any other fish until Matt finally hooked up with a small brown. He hooked a couple of other fish, but didn't land any. Overall the fishing was pretty slow. The river was flowing pretty well, but the off-colored water made it difficult for the trout to see our flies.
