The top bridge had a couple of cars, so we headed down to the second bridge. One look under the bridge and I already spotted a brown. The was a lone female on a redd and it only took a couple of casts before she took the fly. She put up a good fight and was quickly landed and released. We headed down stream and spotted another female holding with a couple of males. Jerry worked the fish while I headed further downstream. Jerry hooked into the female only to have it snap his line as it tore oof downstream. I spotted a nice male in a riffle and as soon as I hooked into it it also took off downstream. I fought it for a good 10 minutes beforewe got it in the net. It was a nice male close to 31 inches. we continued to spot fish and landed another 12 before the end of day with a couple in the 30-33 inch range.

We came back the next day, but the fish were tought to spot. The wind was crazy with gusts from 30-50 miles per hour. We started up top where there was less wind and soon spotted a nice 33 inch male near the wall. A couple of casts and Jerry had it hooked. I jumped down from the wall and after a short fight ZI landed the fish. It was a fresh male close to 33 inches. We continued down river where I landed another female close to 26 inches and lost a monster 20 plus pound female. We spotted another female holding on the other side of the river. Jerry got into position and somehow made an incredible cast under an overhanging branch to hook the fish. She exploded to the surface and I could tell it was another huge fish. Jerry battled the fish as I attempted to get the net udner her. The fish wasn't easily tired and right as I was about to net it, the hook popped out. I dipped the net into the water where the fish fell off. I didn't feel anything as I began to lift the net, but then I spotted the tail... Somehow I managed to net the fish off of the bottom. We tooked a quick photo and laughed about how it. Jerry thought I had netted it before it fell off. The flows were down around 15-20 cfs, after being up over 100 earlier in the week.
