Duluth has gotten some rain, so we decided to head up to the Lester for some salmon. The water was off-color when we arrived and the fish had all made their way to the top two pools. Justin soon hooked up with a large Chinook and after making his way across the pool, the fish got off while trying to net it. I fished the lower pool for a couple of hours without any hookups before heading back down river in search of fish. Justin managed to hook two more fish, another Chinook and a Coho, but both fish came off before we could land them. The next morning was even slower, with only one fish hooked and lost. The fish all took chartruese colored wooly buggers in the faster moving water in the top pool.
