The Crystal River is a small free flowing stream that flows into the Gunnison. While its size may be small, its fish aren't always. The river can holds some suprisingly large rainbows, with some fish up to 5 pounds. You may also catch an occasional brown or brookie. The river also has a healthy population of white fish, which have also been known to put up a good fight. Average fish are usually in the 8-10 inch range and will readily take just about any fly.
