The Pike River in Kenosha is a smaller tributary, but can hold some huge fish. The best fishing on the Pike is from Kenosha Harbor upstream to Petrifying Springs County Park. The Pike receives good runs of chinooks in the early fall, followed by cohos and steelhead. The river can also have some monster lake-run browns, all the way up through December. The spring can bring in a smaller run of steelhead, but fall tends to be the best time to fish the Pike. When other rivers are more crowded or have high water, the Pike can save the day with solitude and good fishing.
